Every year tuition cost for college and university go up just like the cost of textbooks. Here are some ways to save money on college textbooks.
The best way is to find used books from previous years and buy them instead. Many times students take care of their books just so they can resell them. The books can be in very good shape and this is a good buy then. Sometimes however, students mark up the pages with highlighter, write in the columns, and sketch on the covers.
The problem arises when a professor decides to use a newer version of a text book than the previous year. It is sad when this happens, but unfortunately this is the case for many courses in college or university. At this point you can start looking to buy cheap textbooks from your college, online, or bookstores around campus.
It is smart to buy your textbooks as soon as possible so there is still a good selection and you can save money this way. Textbooks sales are not the same as clothing sales. They are not discounted because school is about to start. Quite the opposite, you spend more on books the longer you wait.
